 Parent Volunteer Information

Thank you for taking the time to volunteer at Imlay City Middle School.  Parent involvement is a key factor in increasing student achievement.  The school, teachers and sponsors will be contacting you throughout the year regarding opportunities to volunteer.

ICMS Volunteer Background Check Forms are available in the front office.  All volunteers must complete a background check through the Middle School Office 2 weeks prior to the event. You will need to come into the office to fill out the form and a copy of your photo I.D. will be made at this time.  For safety reasons, all background check forms expire after 30 days.

Volunteer Opportunities

Chaperone:
Volunteers would assist in chaperoning middle school students during dances, field trips, and other excursions we may take throughout the year.  Some field trips may require you to ride the bus.

Art Show:
Volunteers would work with our art department in the spring to assist with organizing the evening art show and setting up displays.

Sixth Grade Belle River Science Project:
In the spring, our sixth grade students partner with the Seven Ponds Nature Center to conduct tests and observations of the Belle River located at Lion’s Park.  Volunteers would assist the teachers and students during the project.  This event takes place outside, so be sure to dress for the weather.

Athletic & Band Boosters:
Visit the district website to find out how you can be a booster.
