  • Given to all high school Juniors in April

  • Administered at ICHS


ASVAB

  • Given to interested Juniors and Seniors

  • Vocational Assessment

  • May be used by the military for job placement

  • Administered at a recruiting office


ACT           www.actstudent.org

  • College Entrance Exam

  • Juniors and Seniors may retest on a National test date

  • Registration is done online at the student website.

  • Students who qualify may request a fee waiver voucher from their counselor.

  • Fee:  $39.50,  $56.50 with Writing Test

  • National Test Dates are in February, April, June, September, October, and December                           

  • This test is also used to determine eligibility for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship.


PSAT/NMSQT            PSAT/NMSQT

  • Given to interested college bound Juniors

  • Must be taken to compete for the National Merit Scholarship

  • Administered at ICHS

  • National test date in October

  • Sign up in the Counseling Center in September

  • A fee of approximately $15 will be charged to cover the cost of the test. 


SAT I           SAT Student    

  • Given at ICHS to Juniors as part of the Michigan Merit Exam

  • College entrance exam

  • Registration materials are available in the Counseling Center to take the exam on a national test day at a testing center.

  • Fee:  Basic Registration $43 or $54.50 with the writing test (free as part of the Michigan Merit Exam)

  • Fee waivers are available to students who qualify.


SAT SUBJECT TESTS             SAT Student

  • Given to interested Juniors and Seniors

  • Used to test a student's knowledge and skill in a particular subject area

  • Registration information is available in the Counseling Center and is completed online.

  • Test dates vary according to the subject.  Information can be found on the website.

  • Fees:  Basic registration $26

  • Additional fee for each test  $18-26 per test


AP TEST             AP Student
  • Given to interested Juniors and Seniors
  • AP tests are used to access a student's knowledge in a given subject area
  • Students may earn college credit based on their score achieved
  • AP Tests are given in May
  • Fee:  $92  per test   Students register in March in the Counseling Center.
